ZoneAgri Global 3D Printed Beehive Design Challenge

From Printer to Pollinator

ZoneAgri is a global 3D printing innovation and design challenge for urban communities, and the world's first 3D-printed agricultural innovation platform focused on collaboration across tropical, temperate, and polar agricultural regions.

Stingless bees are found across many regions of the Earth. These tiny, sting-free insects are among nature’s most gentle and important pollinators. With a remarkable presence in diverse ecosystems, they have been historically valued by many ancient civilizations, where they were honored for their ecological and cultural significance. Their precious honey has been used in medicine, rituals, and trade, forming a living bridge between culture, history, and nature.

Today, stingless bees urgently need our collective attention and support. The survival of these fragile yet highly valuable pollinators—and their essential role in sustaining crop production—is not only vital to local ecosystems but also crucial for advancing global agricultural research and international collaboration.

Participants will design the next generation of stingless bee hive systems, focusing on global stingless bee species, future ecological agriculture, and 3D printing technology.

The core of the ZoneAgri Hive System is not a virtual competition. Every submission is more than just a digital model—it is a potential real-world agricultural innovation.

Selected hive designs will be implemented on partner farms across Latin America supported by the International Torrid Temperate Frigid Agricultural Innovation Association, where they will operate as part of a living, functioning agricultural ecosystem.

The design challenge focuses on the following objectives:

  🐝 Bee Conservation and Protection

  🧩 Modular Design

  🖨️ Distributed Manufacturing

🌍 Integration of Art and Functionality

We believe the future of agriculture is not the responsibility of farmers alone.

The future of agriculture belongs to:

  🎨 Designers

  ⚙️ Engineers

  🛠️ Makers and Innovators

Start in a City Café.

Connect the Future of Global Agriculture.

By connecting local communities with global agricultural challenges, ZoneAgri creates a new pathway for innovation—where ideas developed in urban spaces can become real-world solutions for the future of agriculture.

100 Cities · Café-Based Global

Through a global network of local cafés, ZoneAgri invites people to join a new kind of innovation movement—where digital design, 3D printing, and agriculture come together.

Cafés become entry points into a global system connecting tropical, temperate, and cold-climate regions through design, collaboration, and real-world experimentation.

SECTION 1

Design the Future of Agriculture

From Arctic to Tropics

ZoneAgri connects four regions:

• Canada — Cold-climate innovation

• Europe — Industrial design

• Asia — AI & manufacturing

• Latin America — Tropical agriculture

Together, they form one global agricultural design network.

SECTION 2

Café Innovation Network

Local cafés become:

• Exhibition spaces for ideas

• Community innovation hubs

• Competition & event locations

• Simple “labs” for agricultural design

Anyone can walk in, join, and start creating.

SECTION 3

Hive ID System

Every participant gets a Hive ID:

Example: ZA-2026-VAN-001

Your Hive ID connects everything you do:

• Designs you create

• Projects you join

• Competitions you enter

• Real-world prototypes you build

All activity is recorded in a global innovation network.
